حسنِ خاتمہ کے لیے زندگی کیسے گذاریں؟
A deeply stirring 25-page spiritual admonition on how to prepare for a blessed departure from this world with Iman intact. Mufti Abdul Rehman Munir addresses the illusions of worldly success, exposes spiritual negligence, examines the prayers of the Prophets for dying as Muslims, and guides readers on cultivating steadfastness, daily remembrance of mortality, and habits that ensure a peaceful, honorable end.
Why This Book Was Written
In the foreword (Harf-e-Aaghaz), Mufti Abdul Rehman Munir warns that human beings frequently create deceptive idols of success—equating victory with wealth accumulation, luxury, and social applause. Yet the Qur'an cuts through all illusions: "And the worldly life is nothing but the enjoyment of delusion."
The true, ultimate culmination of life is Husn-e-Khatima—dying with the light of faith and the testimony of Tawhid on one's lips. Even the greatest Prophets of Allah fervently pleaded: "Cause me to die a Muslim and join me with the righteous."
This treatise was authored to awaken sleeping consciences. The author underscores that death is not a sudden accident detached from our habits; rather, the state in which a person dies is directly forged by how he lived his everyday life.
“As a person lives, so shall he die; and as he dies, so shall he be resurrected. If you desire the Kalimah on your tongue at the final breath, let that Kalimah govern your trade, your gaze, your character, and your private life today.”
Core Insights From the Book
Core insights on living mindfully for an honorable departure from this world.
Shattering the Illusions of Worldly Success
Society celebrates material milestones, but genuine success is entirely defined by crossing the threshold of death with faith firmly anchored in the heart.
The Prophets' Yearning for a Muslim End
Even Prophets like Yusuf (AS) and Ibrahim (AS) prayed earnestly for dying in submission to Allah, demonstrating that no believer should ever feel complacent.
Steadfastness: The Hardest Trial
Brief emotional bursts of piety mean little if not sustained. Consistency in obligatory duties and avoiding major sins is what preserves Iman until the last breath.
Daily Remembrance of Mortality
Remembering the destroyer of pleasures (death) softens hard hearts, checks uncontrolled greed, and restores urgency to personal repentance.
Sleep: A Daily Rehearsal of Death
The transition into sleep every night is a minor death, reminding the thoughtful soul of the ultimate awakening on the Day of Resurrection.
Actions Depend Upon Their Endings
As the Prophet ﷺ warned, deeds are judged by their conclusions. A lifelong effort of guarding one's heart safeguards against tragic spiritual derailment.
